In 2013 the Garrett family lost Jane Garrett (wife of Jim and mother of Stephen and Peter) to a 15-year battle with Alzheimer’s. As a tribute to her battle and her legacy, Volta has adopted the Alzheimer’s Association as its priority charity.
In 2010, as a leader in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease, Volta Oil developed its Purple Pump Up campaign. On June 21st of every year, the same day the Alzheimer Association holds it Longest Day event, Volta donates a percentage of gas sales to the Alzheimer’s Association and raises funds for this great cause from both customers and vendors.
Volta matches donations each year. All proceeds go directly to the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter. To date, Purple Pump Up has raised over $600,000 in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease!
ExxonMobil Education Alliance Program
Each year Rapid Refill participates in ExxonMobil’s Education Alliance Program, which awards grants to schools in the communities we serve. The program’s goal is to improve the quality of education from kindergarten through college through grants, scholarships, employee volunteers, and gift matching.
