On June 1, 2015 Volta Oil and Rapid Refill launched their 5th annual Purple Pump Up Campaign. This year’s campaign will run June 1, 2015 through July 19, 2015. All funds will be donated directly to the Alzheimer’s Association MA/NH Chapter.
Donations are collected through point of sale donations, vendor donations, and Volta’s donation of 5 cents per gallon sold at each location on the weekend of June 20th and 21st. Each year, this weekend campaign coincides with the Alzheimer’s Association’s Longest Day event. Volta will also donate 5 cents per gallon of gasoline purchased from its Devens location on July 18 at the Ride to End Alzheimer’s. This year’s campaign is off to a great start, raising critical funding to aid the fight against Alzheimer’s.
On June 10th Jim Garrett was honored with the 2015 Family Champion Award during the Alzheimer’s Association’s Hope on the Harbor event. Jim was recognized for his dedication to his wife, Jane, and his commitment to fighting Alzheimer’s. Jim helped secure passage of legislation on the state and federal level, served on the Board of Directors for the Alzheimer Association, and created and promoted Volta’s Purple Pump Up campaign.
